An extremely rare English yellow glazed earthenware jug, C1810-20.
The jug is decorated in silver lustre with two opposing but faded vignettes of ladies in classical dress. A compass type of decorative motif appears under the spout. There is an old chip to the rim and a small but stable crack of about 20mm. (0.75 inches) Height approx. 112mm. (4.4 inches)The damage is not unusual for the age but in consideration is offered at a fair price.
