A figure of the devil with cloven hooves offers a naked lady a dish of grapes whilst a naked child stretches up to the dish. See mark on base. (Danckert, Mark 4, p174)
The figure group is on a rocky outcrop and the devil has a lascivious look on his face compared to the innocence of the child and the maiden. The piece is spectacular with a height of about 450mm. (17.72 inches) and is in superb condition.
