The mammoth goblet has fine engraving of blacksmith and couple signing the register on an anvil, the panel surrounded by floral engraving. GRETNA GREEN below. Height. 239mm. (9.06 inches) C1870.
Bowl width 110mm. (4.33 inches) Hollow dumb bell stem with plain foot and rough pontil. Searches of records have shown no other examples of such a commemorative goblet and Gretna Green commemorative glass wear is extremely rare.
