A Small Heavy Based Glass Tumbler. Mid 19thC.
A typical small tavern glass, the moulded base kicked up 15mm. Of slight deception form. The metal of a lilac colour from the addition of manganese to the batch. In excellent condition.
Height 94mm. (3.7 inches) Such glasses are difficult to find today although they were still around in the 1970s and 1980s. Functioned as a spirit glass for gin, whicky, brandy etc.
