Rare English Lead Crystal Georgian Carafe.
Three rows of square cut facets replace earlier rings around neck followed by rounded facets and basal flutes, the base with ground and polished pontil. C1810-30. height. 220mm. (8.6 inches)
Note that the wide neck is indicative of the carafe, much rarer than the decanter and is used as a serving bottle for table use. Only a limited number have survived from the georgian period. In excellent condition.
