Pendant, of tablet form 33mm long and 20mm wide, 5mm thick. Attached cord in maroon of 4 strands braided and whipped and then whipped and knotted to leave last third of length as four loose cords.
Condition and deep carving suggests early 20thC. Total weight 12.8 grams. Jade not only represents power and wealth but in this form is also worn as an amulet to protect the wearer from ill health.
