A Georgian ashwood treen turned box with a screw on lid.
This box has turned decoration to the sides and concentric coloured decoration to the lid. The screw top lid fits comfortably onto the base. Height: 60mm (2,5 inches). Diameter: 55mm (2.125 inches). c1800. A rare and interesting survivor, in excellent condition for its age.
